GTMLens (“we”, “us”) operates gtmlens.com as an independent analyst publication covering AI-native go-to-market tooling. This page describes what we collect, why, and how to opt out. Plain English. No dark patterns.
1. What we collect
- Email address — only when you submit the newsletter form, the Stack Builder quiz, or the contact form. Stored in MailerLite (EU/US) and as a private WordPress post on this site.
- Aggregate analytics — Google Analytics 4 (page views, referrers, device class) and Microsoft Clarity (anonymized session recordings + heatmaps). Both are configured to anonymize IP addresses. Logged-in admins are excluded.
- Server logs — standard web server access logs (IP, user agent, URL, timestamp), retained 30 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes only.
We do not collect: payment information, government IDs, browser autofill data, location beyond country, or any “special category” data under GDPR Article 9.
2. How we use it
- Send you the newsletter you subscribed to. Each email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Understand which articles get read so we can write more of what works. We do not build personal profiles or sell behavioral data.
- Detect and block spam / abuse on the site.
3. What we never do
- Sell, rent, or trade your email address. Ever.
- Take vendor money in exchange for content placement, ranking, or coverage. See our Editorial Policy for the long-form independence statement.
- Place affiliate links or sponsored content disguised as editorial.
- Use your data to train AI models that we sell or license.
4. Cookies
We use the minimum cookies necessary: a WordPress session cookie when you submit a form, and Google Analytics + Microsoft Clarity cookies for aggregate analytics. We do not run advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking pixels.
5. Third-party processors
- Hostinger — site hosting, EU/US data centers.
- MailerLite — newsletter delivery; their privacy policy.
- Google — Analytics + Search Console; their privacy policy.
- Microsoft — Clarity heatmaps; their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — CDN + DDoS protection; their privacy policy.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, India’s DPDP Act, and CCPA you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these, email info@gtmlens.com from the address you subscribed with. We respond within 30 days.
You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the bottom of any email — that fully removes you from our list within minutes.
7. Children
GTMLens is intended for B2B revenue professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through the site, email us and we’ll delete it.
8. Changes
If we change anything material, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and call it out in the next newsletter issue. The current version always lives at /privacy-policy/.
